WHY BECOME A MEMBER

AAABA is an active and diverse organization. As a member, you receive numerous benefits, including:

  • Free affiliate membership to NAPABA, normally $100. Students receive this benefit as well
  • Free or discounted access to AAABA and sister bar association events and special programs
  • Free or discounted CLEs, including ethics, through luncheons and special programs
  • Networking opportunities with judges, attorneys, in-house counsels, law professors, and other professionals
  • Notice regarding job postings
  • Referral service among members
  • Collaboration with sister bar associations
  • Ability to run for open seats on the Board of Directors and to vote for AAABA officers and directors

HOW TO JOIN

(1) Fill out the Membership Information and Newsletter Subscription Form by clicking on the "Complete Form" link below;

(2) Pay Pay your membership dues by clicking on the "Pay Dues" link below in the next section and paying by PayPal or debit/credit card. You may also pay by mailing us a check, or by paying your AAABA dues through the Maricopa County Bar Association (please see more information on this payment method below). Please note membership for law students is free.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Our dues coincide with the calendar year. Existing members: please renew your dues yearly to maintain active member status.

Attorney Member: $75 per year
Non-Attorney Member: $30 per year
Law Student Member: Free while in law school

RENEWING DUES

Maintaining your active membership is easy and essential to continuing AAABA's efforts and programs within our community. You can renew your dues in 3 ways:

Online : Click the button below to pay your fee online.

MCBA : Members that are also MCBA members can renew their AAABA dues by checking the "Arizona Asian American Bar Association" box on their MCBA Membership invoice and submitting the dues along with their MCBA dues.

Mail : Mail a check payable to AAABA to the below address. Please provide the year your payment is for and the registered member's name: Arizona Asian American Bar Association; c/o Christopher K. Heo; Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP; 2525 E. Camelback Road, Suite 450; Phoenix, AZ 85016

Questions can be sent to our Membership Committee. If your membership details have changed, let us know by filling out the membership form. As an existing member, you will be prompted to update your information.

RECURRING PAYMENTS ON PAYPAL

“Recurring Payments” on PayPal are payments that renew on a recurring basis. You are automatically signed up for Recurring Payments when you pay your AAABA dues via PayPal.

AAABA will NOT refund any Recurring Payments on PayPal. If you inadvertently pay AAABA dues more than once in a year, AAABA will apply the additional payments to your AAABA membership dues for the following years.

  • How to opt out of Recurring Payments:

  • Log in to www.paypal.com.
  • Click on the Tools icon on the top right-hand side of your home PayPal page, to the left of "Log Out."
  • You will see four options displayed across the top of the webpage, called "Account," "Security," "Payments," and "Notifications." Click on "Payments.
  • Click on "Manage pre-approved payments." • Click on "Arizona Asian American Bar Association" on the left-hand side of the page.
  • You will see several categories displayed vertically on the webpage, such as "Status," "Payment Method," and "Shipping Address."
  • In the "Status" category, click on the blue-circled "Cancel" on the right-hand side of the page, which is to the right of the word "Active."
  • Click "Cancel Connection."
