AAABA’S 23rd ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS AND
INSTALLATION BANQUET

About the Banquet

AAABA was formed in 1993 by the late Judge Thomas Tang of the United Stated Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the first Asian American federal judge in the continental United States. Our annual Banquet is AAABA’s only major fundraising event and underwrites the Judge Thomas Tang Memorial Law Scholarship award to law students in Arizona. The scholarship was created and endowed in a joint effort by the AAABA and local businesses to address the noticeable lack of prominent leaders of Asian ancestry and others who support minority interests in Arizona’s legal, business, and political communities, despite the growing Asian-American and minority population. Our goal to encourage and mentor bright, charismatic, and ambitious law students to enter the field of law and ultimately become community leaders across Arizona.
